Abstract
|

|
Purpose : The purpose of this study is to understand the experiences of nursing students in clinical practice at public center through self- reflection
Subjects : The 110 students in the 3rd grade, practice with two public center in p city and k city. Among them, 53 male and female university students who were practice in k city were selected. The study participants were 16male (30.2%) and 37 female students.(69.8%).
Methods : Data were analyzed through self-reflection of 53 undergraduate nursing students after clinical practice.
Results : On the basis of these data, most students think public health center provides much more services for community people than they usually have thought. They evaluate health center program highly, and want to be community health nurse. For the first time, they come to know the manpower of public health nurses is very important. Especially their emotion at public health center is quite different from emotion at the other clinics. The environment of health center makes them more comfortable and not stressful, Generally, they were satisfied with the practice of public health center.
Conclusion : On the basis of these findings, following recommendations are to be made.
Experiences at public health center are important part of nursing student education. I suggest the research of the experience of the practice at the public health center should proceed to other research methods other than the reflection journal, and follow - up study of experience of practice at public health center should be attempted according to the level of self-reflection.
